Organic Turmeric and Ginger Shot Recipe

Wow, where did 2021 go? I can’t believe we are weeks away from Christmas and 2022! So, I know everyone will be on track for the new year’s goals to taking better care of ourselves. So, before we get to busy with the festive holidays, I wanted to share one of my favorite daily vegan wellness shots! If you’re looking for an easy way to improve your health, you should try making ginger and turmeric shots. These two ingredients are loaded with health benefits, and they can help improve your digestion, reduce inflammation, and boost your immune system.

SO WHAT’S THE BENEFIT OF THIS GOLDEN HERB?

Making vegan ginger and turmeric shots is simple. All you need is fresh ginger root, turmeric. cayenne, orange juice, lemon juice and a blender or Vitamix. The purpose of turmeric is to neutralize and eliminate toxins in the body. The ginger and turmeric drinks also reduce inflammation, increase your energy and slows down the ageing. Turmeric is known to have many health benefits, including anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce pain and stiffness.  

It is also believed to help fight against certain cancers, improve heart health, protect to the liver, and prevent Alzheimer’s disease.Ginger has similar health benefits, including able to fight against bacteria in your body and boost the immune system, which makes them perfect for flu season.

RECIPE:

Equipment: Blender, Mesh Cloth, Juicer or Vitamix

Prep Time: Five Minutes

Ingredients:

1 inch Turmeric peeled

1 inch Ginger peeled

1/2 Lemon ski and rind removed

1/2 Orange skin and rind removed or 1 Cup of orange juice.

Black Pepper, Cayenne Pepper, Cinnamon

Pinch of Cayenne(optional)

Cheers! If you want to sweeten the shot, add just a hint of honey or agave syrup.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Add all Ingredients into high power blender or Vitamix. 2 tablespoons water if needed. Using a mesh and place it over a large bowl and strain. For 5 days use only, you can pour into separate small containers for you and your family to grab and go! Cheers!

You can use a standard citrus juicer or my favorite, a Vitamix and blend. I like to use a mesh cloth or strainer to make sure its all juice.  

If you’re new to turmeric, start out with small amounts and work your way up until you get used to the taste. If turmeric makes you sick try alternating between turmeric and ginger shots each day instead of drinking both at once/

Combine the turmeric juice with the ginger juice, add honey or agave syrup for sweetness and some ice cubes if desired. You can also add cayenne pepper for a spicier shot. This drink is excellent for boosting your immune system and helping to fight inflammation. Drink it every day to get the most benefit.

Option 2:

If you don’t have a juicer or blender, you can still make ginger and turmeric shots by using fresh ginger root and turmeric powder. Combine 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder with 1/2 inch piece of fresh ginger root, and add hot water to cover. Steep for 10 minutes, then strain. Sweeten with honey or agave syrup if desired. Add a few drops of lime juice for flavor.

Ginger and turmeric are both excellent ingredients for boosting your health, so try making some ginger and turmeric shots today! Tip:

Highly Acidic Remember to rinse your mouth and teeth with water after this shot.

Careful with Turmeric it will stain everything!
